SYDNEY HARBOUR BRIDGE/SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE/AUSTRALIA'S ALTERNATIVE TO PIGEONS/A TEENY TINY EXAMPLE OF THE EXHIBITS AT THE AUSTRALIAN MUSEUM/CORAL AT THE AQUARIUM/MANLY BEACH/ACTIVIST ART/EVEN THEIR POSTBOXES ARE COOLER
This summer my family and I are making our way up the East coast of Australia and then heading off to Thailand. Sydney was our first stop, and I fell completely in love with the city (although I do have a tendency to do so with most new places). The photographs really don’t do it justice as we were only there for 4 days and all suffered from preeeeetty horrible jetlag, meaning we had to squeeze a lot into a little amount of time and I didn’t always remember to whip my camera out. Saying that, we still managed to explore the harbour and botanical gardens, the Australian Museum, the Hyde Park Barracks, Manly beach, the aquarium AND climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge, which was an amazing experience and a definite must for anyone visiting. It was a truly wonderful city, owing partly to how beautiful the harbour was at any time of day and partly to the people; no one was too busy for politeness or pleasantries like you usually find in a major city. Oh, and the food was brilliant, even the crocodile burger I ate in Manly.
Sydney, you have my heart, see you in a few years.
